This zine playfully explores the silent, soggy language of divers. Structured as a journey from descent to ascent, it documents how hand gestures become a form of communication when speech disappears underwater. Inspired by real-world diver signaling systems and research in underwater gesture recognition, the project turns practical survival gestures into an unspoken narrative. It’s part observation, part miscommunication, and entirely an ode to talking with your hands when no one can hear you anyway.
