Project Overview
I Want a Home I Could Carry With is a portable, personal “house” that exists not as architecture, but through my sense of possession. Inspired by my habit of treating my 23-kg luggage as a movable home, this project explores what “home” becomes when stability is impossible or constantly shifting. Through a compact, wearable form, it stores fragments of my routines, comforts, and identity, challenging the idea that home must be rooted in a place. Instead, it becomes something I assemble, carry, and rebuild wherever I go.

The inspiration for this project comes from my essay “My 23 Kilograms Home,” where I reflect on how my luggage has become a portable home—one that carries my identity, comforts, and the small possessions that shape who I am. These objects not oly just travel with me; they construct a sense of self, grounding me wherever I go. You can read the full essay here: My 23 Kilograms Home, or find it in the Writing section.
